Upcoming YA Day + January Excitement

We can’t believe that YA Day is just over two weeks away! WHERE HAS THAT TIME GONE?! We’ve been super busy all month organising an amazing day, and we’re so thrilled that everyone who’s bought a ticket will be able to come and enjoy the day we’ve spent months planning. But the day wouldn’t be possible without you – so THANK YOU!

If you would like to learn more about YA Day and jog your memory with who you’ll be seeing on a panel, check out this post! If you still haven’t got a ticket, click this link – they’re selling out fast! This is your LAST CHANCE to grab one, so don’t miss out!

An important things to remember for the day is that only ticket holders will be able to enter the venue, so make sure you have a print out of your ticket, have it on your phone, or be able to validate your email address (for Kickstarter backers ONLY) at the door. Please make sure you check your email before the day to see if there are any last-minute announcements from us.

There will also be some snacks and drinks available on the day, but we won’t be providing lunch. You have a small window between panels 2 and 3 to grab something to eat if you’d like, otherwise please make sure you bring enough food for the day! It’s going to be a full-on day of panels, signings, and bookish quizzes, and we’d hate for you to miss any of it because you’re collecting your Uber Eats order.

There’s also going to be opportunities for you to have your books signed by the authors on the panels, so make sure you bring them along! There may be a chance for you to purchase books on the day too.

And in case you don’t already know, our January Book of the Month is The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! We won’t be having a Book Meet for this month because of YA Day, but we’ll still be holding our monthly #YARoomChat on Twitter, so make sure you’re following us! The chat will take place on Monday 22 January at 7.30pm AEDT!

In case you missed our little announcement earlier, we’ll be opening a Society6 store next month! We’ll be selling our own unique YA Room designs as mugs, tote bags, prints, shirts, and more! We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with you, and we hope you love our designs as much as we do. Who doesn’t want to own more bookish merch?

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Before our exciting YA Day on Sunday 28 January, we’ll be attending the much-anticipated #PTAshowcase on the 24th in Melbourne! Tickets have unfortunately already sold out for this event, but we hope to see some of you there!
